To make this happen, the team at AGR5V created a Style Guide. For this to come to pass, AGR5V's team designed a Style Guide.
Streetwear has a casual yet polished style to it. And a version reminiscent of the one that was picked up from the floor. The parts are frequently the same. The difference lies in the way they are assembled: the proportion, the colour, the shoes and some things that you think about before you leave the house.
Streetwear 2026 is more refined, more deliberate and more wearable than ever. It's always better to wear simple combinations than over-stylized looks. This is AGR5V's manual of what formulas work.
The foundation and initial prop up the entire structure, so it is best to get it right from the start.
Proportion comes before all else in streetwear style. If you do this wrong, nothing else you do will help the fit.
The current silhouette concept is created with contrast. Too big at the top, too narrow at the bottom, or wide-leg at the bottom and some that fits in the top. I don't think oversized everywhere looks relaxed, it looks like a garment that doesn't fit.
The rule of the thumb: Bottoms require shape if the top is too big. When bottoms are wide, top should be fitted or tucked. One piece makes the work easy. The remaining players support.
Formula 1 — The Hoodie Fit
The hoodie is a signature element of streetwear. And oversized and relaxed fit hoodies are still a big deal in 2026 — they are versatile, comfortable and ideal for casual or layered streetwear.
Oversized hoodie + straight line/cargo/straight slim fit + clean sneaker.
“The hoodie is the message.” The load comes to rest on the ground. Add the sneaker to the end. Three pieces, three pieces, no competition, only cooperation. Hold the hoodie and cargo to the same tonal range ( neutrals, earth tones or black and white). Use only contrast in the sneaker. Two graphic statements do not go together: a graphic hoodie and a graphic cargo.
The cargo Fit is for Formula 2.
One of the largest streetwear clothing trends for 2026 is definitely the cargo. They're not just the same as conventional trousers – more pockets, more texture, more weight – so what goes on top should be simpler, not more complex.
Clean tee or long sleeve + cargo + mid or high sneaker
The tee should fit well or just a little big, not baggy. Put the load to work. When the cargo is wide, the height of the sneaker becomes a factor—the mid-top sneaker or high-top sneaker will fill in the gap between the trouser hem and shoe better than a low-top sneaker.
The upgrade version of the formula involves an overshirt, a bomber or a coach jacket that's left open over the top of the t-shirt. The layer provides depth and interrupt the upper half without being in competition with the freight.
The Layered Fit is the Formula 3.
If streetwear is a multi-layered experience, then this is where the good comes apart from the great. Under an unbuttoned flannel shirt, wear an old graphics T-shirt, baggy jeans about the mid-wash, and classic sneakers, simple, functional and timeless.
The rules of layering:
**Length staggering.** There should be a clear view of each layer. If your inner layer is the same length as your outer layer, neither reads. The inner piece should be lower or the outer piece should be opened to show the underneath piece.
If all your layers are similar in tone or a deliberate colour match, then it is obvious that they are intended to be matched. Random coloured layering appears as a fluke.
**Texture contrast.** Heavy fleece on light cotton t-shirt. She went with a nylon jacket over a knit. The difference in the materials will create some interesting variation which monotone layers cannot provide.
Every last Formula 4 is a minimal fit.
A complex strategy is not required for all fits nor are multiple pieces. Some of the cleanest streetwear looks are the most stripped back.
Premium t-shirt + good-fitting jeans/well-fitting trousers + thoughtful sneaker.
This formula depends entirely on quality. If there are no graphics, no layers, no volume tricks, the only thing that matters is the cut, fabric and fit of the individual piece. A heavy weight tee will drape differently than a thin one. A well cut denim doesn't fit the same as a cheap denim. It is important that each piece is selected carefully in the minimal formula rather than being thrown down.
This is where AGR5V pieces come into play — clothes designed for the fits that demand nothing short of quality.
The Rules Worth Following in 2026
Use one focal point for each outfit. One graphic, one large piece, one splash of colour. All the rest is supporting cast.
Sneakers, the final touch to the ensemble. It's a right shoe with the wrong size that kills it. Invest more in your feet than in anything else.
**Fit beats brand.** Having a good fit from an independent label is better than a bad fit from a hyped brand. The tag label will show for a second while the label is removed. The fit is on display throughout the day.
Outline the tone before the colour. Design in tones – darks, lights, neutrals – and add colour as an accent, rather than a base.
What Australian Streetwear Does Differently
The combination of surf, skate, hip-hop and high fashion background makes Australian street style very special. The outcome is a more relaxed and less pretentious version of streetwear, more willing to incorporate crossovers than its American and European counterparts.
The fit of a street wear piece doesn't have to be refined on the Australian level. It should appear to be part of the person's outfit. That's the standard to aspire to — the same look as someone else on the web isn't necessarily the standard.
